The day I bought my new 04 Cobra convertible, I said two things. "I will never modify this car and I will never sell it". I lied on both accounts. Wierd how it happens but it does. I was shaking with excitement when I got the Cobra but 4 years later I was trying to sell it. I now own an 05 Windviel Blue GT coupe (7000 miles). Some days I regret my Mustang decisions and some days it all feels good. As long as I have a Mustang I can't really complain!

Gas when your grandson starts driving gas will probably be $10 a gallon....or more....that's if it's the 'fuel of choice' !

FWIW, I've got damn near 500 miles on mine .......time to trade it in !

Just today my 8 year old granddaughter asked if I would hold on to my Mustang until she can drive! She really likes the car - guess I'll have to find a way to keep it another 8 years or so. May have to keep another engine and transmission on hand and be ready to put it to stock though!

Oh man haha, that is a nice surprise! And at such a young age.

My sister (13) will be getting my v6 in a few years once she is 16 and I have finished grad school (fingers crossed). She isn't too excited though lol, she wanted me to get a yellow car...

Yeah she is a little different than me lol, not really into cars but she knows enough about them and Call of Duty to get by. Mainly because she had a overbearing brother haha.

As for how long she will keep the car? Maybe until she finishes high school and leaves for college... (im sure she'll ditch the car at home). Kinda sad, but there it is, no other siblings in our house to take it.

I'm 19, and in a perfect world I'd keep it for my son, if I have one, but I'm sure something will come up and stop that from happening. I just think it would be cool to give my son the car I drove in high school.

We'll see. I'm hoping I'll be able to afford another car without selling this one when the time comes, but I'll be driving it myself for at least 5 more years until I get out of school and get a job.

I ordered my 2011 with the intent of keeping it till it's dead. And then, I'll prolly rebuild it. I honestly can't see myself buying another "new" mustang. In another 10 or 12 years when I'd feel ready to buy another one, they will probably be $40K for a base model. And I just don't see myself paying that much for a car. I am really enjoying this one though. It's just awesome to drive.

I had a 67 convert in high school but thought I needed a Cutlass supreme to go to college in. Have regretted it ever since. So I will never get rid of my new 2011 convert.
