Default Shaker hood system for 2011+

Ford Racing's shaker hood system is now available for the 2011 Mustang GT:

Anyone going to buy this?

I plan on getting one, but I have other mods that I plan on buying first. 900 bucks is alot of money for what it is, but IMO they are the best looking hood option out there.

Interesting. I see an option for the 2013 Boss 302, would keep with the 70 Boss 302 theme.

That would be a must have for the BOSS.

Where does one get these installed? Is this something the local speed shop can pull off? I tend to be fairly picky about who cuts holes in my car.

You could install yourself in only a couple of hours. I installed mine myself, was actually very easy (just make sure to follow directions, use the template and measure carefully, then measure carefully again. And again). I made my cut with a simple jigsaw. The trim ring that comes with the scoop allows for a little wiggle room to cover any small cutting mistakes.

You can save yourself a good bit of money doing it yourself and you will love the scoop that much more.

Thanks,
Scott

Do it yourself if you picky .. it's pretty simple. I've done two so far .. my buddies 2006 GT and my 2010 GT ...
