Default Battery Gauge Doesnt Work

The battery gauge just stopped working..All others seem to work..Any ideas?

How so did it stop working? Does it just sit in the middle regardless of the charge on your battery? Or does it sit at 0 or something like that when you start the car up/you've been driving for a while?

Just sits at 0....Use to come and go...When it first started sometimes it would work but no it just sits at 0 no matter what

Since you have a 2005.... youre stepper motor which controls the needle is dead. Very common problem in 2005's.

You'll need a new instrument cluster. An awkward process of uninstallation/installation. My brother did his last month in his 05 sixxer, and posted all the "how to's" on the forums. It'll answer all your questions. Heres the link to the thread:

Well, fwiw, it's a useless gauge anyway...doesn't really vary based on actual voltage.

Thats true but one dies the rest aren't too far behind lol.

Where can I buy a new cluster? Possible Roush if they are not too expensive...Any idea? I cant seem to find any

My temperature gauge works off and on. For some reason, since the temperature has gotten warmer, my gauge is working more than not. lol
As long as my radiator fan works, I am not worried about it.
