Default 2008 BlackJack

I recently purchased a 2008 Jack Roush BlackJack. I was curious as to what everyone on thought about upgrades for it. I was thinking underdrive pulleys would be my first upgrade. Thoughts???

hell no! It's supercharged, right? You don't want to underdrive the supercharger, you'll lose power.

My thoughts are that you should post some pictures.

Congrats on the purchase... Since you have 1 of only 100 made, I am sure that you will take great care to preserve whatever you take off in your quest for more power...

That said, are the underdrive pulleys you are referencing the same as different blower pulleys? Have you had your car dyno tuned yet? Between the dyno and different blower pulley, this might make the most significant boost. After that I would consider the way your car puts that power to the ground by concentrating on the suspension.

Good luck... and remember...

Pics or it didn't happen...

Thanks guys! danzcool: yes it is supercharged and I take it that you think the pulleys are a bad idea. Thanks for the info. BigD: no I haven't had it dyno tuned yet. I was curious as to what people thought for upgrades. Or if I should do very much at all considering its rarity.

I have an album of about 7 pictures on my profile too!

Nice car, I've got a stage 3 which I'm pretty sure is a very similar car. I'm going to get long tube headers, and an x-pipe, maybe cams.
If it's that big 500 number you're looking for you could go for this:

Post pics of your car.

Underdrive pulleys are used on NA vehicles to reduce parasitic drag on the belt system. A supercharger works off the belt system, so with an underdrive pulley, the supercharger will not create as much boost. What most people with superchargers do is use a smaller pulley on the supercharger itself to increase boost. Some will even use an overdrive pulley to further increase supercharger boost.

So, in summary: smaller pulley on the supercharger = more power, bigger pulley on the crank = more power (in supercharged scenarios).

And yes, post pics.
