Default got the ok...

so my girl got her jeep she always wanted and is going to get it painted pink. I said "u always give me **** about trading in cars or buying parts and u can just go ahead and do this and expect me to not say anything." Long story short she said i can get a supercharger or in a year or so trade in on a used 2011. I love my 05 but honestly, how much is it gonna take to compete with a 2011. I know how well the 11 is responding to mods so whats your opinions. Should i like get supercharger, full exhaust, gears, cams, or just wait and get a used 11. Which would be cheaper in the long run.

wine of a supercharger on a 05, or the whisp of the "noise tube" from the air intake on an 11... tough choices :P

haha, ya but the fact that my 05 supercharged is like right at par with an 11 is my debate between them.

i am bias towards superchargers, or FI in general. I love em better then stock block, more to talk about. You win shows with mods not stock blocks

The whine of the supercharger is absolutely amazing, it's enough of a reason to not buy the 2011. You don't realize it until you have it, you'll also be above the 400 hp the 5.0 produces. A lot of superchargers are above that and you get to keep your car you've always had. It's up to you but with a supercharged 2007 I would never trade down to a 2011 5.0.

You can do it your own way with your 2005 which also counts for something.

This is the M90 with a steeda CAI and a 2.57 pulley, not my car but similair setup, just listen.

I made that choice a few weeks back. One thing that helped was everyone including people I don't know who still gives me compliments on it I figured why get a new one I already love what I have. Just finished up my Supercharger install today and will never look back

Your g/f will decide for you. But if it was up to me, I'd get the 5.0 and continue modding, with or without her "ok".
