Question Axel-Back

Im looking to get a pair of axel-back exhaust pipes. I was thinkin PYPES Pipe Bombs but was also lookin at SLP and a couple other kits. First has anyone had any problems with the PYPES installation? Second are they the best sounding or are the slp's really that much better? Thanks for any help.

I found that the videos sucked. Written feedback is a better starting point. The best bet is to go to a local car show, or cruise and listen to what people have in person.

yeah i agree with vrflip. if there is a local club around go hear the exhaust in person. but it all depends on what you want your stang to sound like and how much u want to spend. i wanted loud and obnoxious and thats why i went with the frpp(borla) stingers. and i still have my cats on bc i have to pass emissions every yr in nashville. i know i can go louder but it will just cause to many problems with the area i live in. good luck with your choice buddy.

I have the pypes pype bomb axel backs on my 08 and I love them. It was the first mod that I ever installed and was pretty straight forward.....took about 30-40 min to install. We had a little trouble reaching 2 of the bolts but once we found the extender for the socket wrench...it was easy.

AM recommends getting new hangers but I used the factory ones and they worked well for me.

For the price the bombs are set at and with all the good reviews i think i might go with them. Id still like to hear what they sound like in person before i do order them. Installation sounds pretty simple.

yeah I was pleasantly surprised by the sound...its loud but being a muffler delete I thought it would be a little louder (which I am glad its not). There are resonators in the pipes which helps but you wont be disappointed if you went with the bombs.
