We have a back seat? LOL!

I have a 70 lb dog that traveled a lot in the back seat (after I went to great lengths to make it flat for her), logging about 30,000 miles with me. She never said anything about it being a problem...

Im 6'2" and so is one of my coworkers. We would occasionally take a couple of the smaller guys maybe 5'8" and 5'10" to lunch with us and they'd ride in the back of my 06. It wouldnt be good for long trips though. The 10 though does look tighter in the back. Both big guys in the front and we can stick a little guy in the back and he seems ok.

Haha - I used to cram my sister who's about 250lbs in the back...my wife always rides shotgun l'il sis! Yes, I did that out of brotherly love

You said you are interested in a 2010-2011 Mustang. Just in case you weren't aware, the 2010 GT only has the 315 hp 4.6 liter V8 while the 2011 has the 412 hp 5.0 liter V8. Both cars look almost identical from the outside, but the 2011 is much faster. The 2011 also has a 6 speed manual where the 2010 only has a 5 speed.

Hello and thanks for serving. I was in the same boat as you before I traded my truck for a 2006 GT. The wifes suburban is the main baby hauler, but the kids love riding in the car. It fits two boosters in the back just fine. However I do agree that rear facing infant seats would be awkward. Especially if you're a taller person.

The wife and I don't see any problems with ridding in the back seat neither.
I don't think we logged 30,000 miles yet though...

OP, since you have an SUV for the wife, get the damn Mustang!!
You deserve it more than she thinks.

SUV and Mustang is a great combination.

Have always had an SUV for the wife. Great driving visibility and primary kid and grocery hauler.

Get a 2nd Stang like I did: The garage queen for me, the DD for my g/f and the SUV as my DD and tow vehicle.

Thanks for the backup guys, so far the only person my wife likes is the guy who opposed it, but didn't actually have kids This decision is still a couple years out so we will see if she softens up.
Jahudso2: I am well aware of the differences, I have been researching the 2011 for quite some time, I know I want the 5.0. I honestly don't know why I said 2010/11 haha, I think I had heard that the backseat space had changed over the last few years?
