Default Burning oil

I have a 06 Gt mustang supercharged, I have noticed that i have burned alot of oil in a couple of days. Is this normal for a 550 rwhp mustang to do? I just want to make sure that there is nothing wrong with my car. I also checked my catch can and it was just about full.

Why do you think you're burning oil? If you appear to be using oil vs "burning", then you seem to have answered your question in your own post.

Not saying that this is a good thing, but my naturally aspirated motor burns at least a quart over 5000 miles (probably a little more). I never see anything coming out of the tail pipe and it runs strong.

+1, if you don't have a catch can that is very possible you are getting some serious blow by!

This is about 500 miles worth in mine!

sorry.. but i find it humorous that the mustangexpert is asking questions about his mustang.. lol..

but seriously.. how many miles.. that half-full catch can might be some of it.. ?

•Bad valve seals
•Worn valve guides
•Pressurized crankcase (oil pan) due to a clogged PCV valve or breather system
•Blow-by from worn piston rings
