That number sounds about right. My damages were into the 4k range when I hit a deer last year. I had very similar this that needed replaced, but I needed a new radiator and grille instead of a fender. Just a heads up, watch the hood carefully. They cheaped out on mine and it shakes at highway speeds in the front corners. I was excited to get my car back and didn't notice until it was too late. :/

ok so heres an update on whats happening:

insurance gave me 2500 bucks. they said they could find a hood for 450 bucks. body shop said BS and is fighting the insurance right now for more money. either way i ordered my parts! i got the gt bumper painted from NTO, the cervinis heat extractor hood (http://www.americanmuscle.com/cervin...ctor-hood.html), and the eleanor grill for the gt bumper to match my old one. so the part totals come out to 1100 bucks. hopefully i can get some more money so i wont be paying out of pocket for all the paint and labor. ill keep this updated when i get the pix of stuff

The Insurance wants to go with a used hood because the new one cost $1300 alone, lol.
I guess they're repairing your fender, which is fine.
