Default Suspension Question

I'm wondering how sturdy the suspension on the 05 GT is. This car is my daily driver and I live in NY, as a result of which I have to drive on some kind of questionable pavement. Of course, we avoid potholes when we can, but here in NYC a pothole can be as large as 17 meters. Even larger specimens have been reported in the Bronx and parts of Brooklyn.

So I'm wondering, in your opinion, how much of this involuntary "abuse" my suspension is going to be able to take. Even if you take it slow over the rough patches, the stock suspension is stiff enough that the car gets rattled pretty good and it's kind of disconcerting. I'm hoping the solid axle and general lack of a complicated, sensitive suspension are a good thing here as far as durability goes but I'm not much of a gearhead so what the f*** do I know?

Your opinions are appreciated.
