Default Driveshaft Safety Loop

Trying to determine which one to purchase with the shaftmasters DS I plan to order.

Which one did you install? I am not considering any that you have to drill holes. I want to use existing holes. Any fitment issues? I have pypes longs tubes with a H pipe.

not sure about the drive-shaft loop, but if you could swing it.. I'd do the drive-shaft AND a high stall torque converter at the same time. If you could install LTs without issues, a torque converter would be a piece of cake provided you have a lift(and trans jack).

You'd be in the 11's like it's no ones business

If I were to keep my 08GT, that's exactly what I would do...

I actually want to stay with the stock convertor. I like not putting added stress on the drivetrain. I get my best times leaving from idle. At my track I have to run in the sportsman (dial in) class and 12.90 class. I really dont want to run the 11.90 class. Way too much competition and strain on the car. Would like to get an 11 second slip then slow it down to compete. Maybe my thinking is wrong but a lighter driveshaft means that my engine etc.... is running more efficently?

I don't blame you.. the TC and with the mods you have, I wouldn't doubt that you'd actually run too quick of an ET and not be able to quality. There's a few people on FNSweet running mid 11s with the exact same set up!

The driveshaft is what drives the rear differential, pretty much, thus in turn spins the wheels. With a lighter one, it'll drive them faster sooner because it weighs less and takes less effort for the trans to move it.

Once you get into some serious torque converters though.. it's a whole new cans of worms rofl obviously leaving hard off the line will be some added stress to the drive-train and more heat on the trans, but you can't beat 1.5 60 fts...

kinda makes me want to keep the GT a little longer just to see how well she'll run.. but then again, I know if I do that, it'll never end lol

I have the CHE loop from Powerhouse with my Shaftmasters. Fairly easy to install, no need to pull up carpet because it installs to existing bolts/holes.

Jim, in the link it says requires drilling but you say it doesn't? I'm confused but I do like this product and price point.

I'll have to take another look, I didn't think it required drilling but it has been awhile and there were three of us doing a lot of things on the car that weekend.
