Default Cheapest I can get a base 2011/12 GT OTD???

I have always wanted a mustang (really fell hard for the termi's but being 16 when they came out, fat chance in getting one lol). I am getting a new job that is 1.5 miles away from my house so wont have to worry about MPG anymore (just insurance now...lol).

Is invoice pricing pretty common on these cars or is it difficult to do? I am an hour out of chicago so there are plenty of dealerships to compete on pricing.

Looks like a base GT with 3.73 is 30,500 sticker. What would invoice be on this car?

If I then put down one of my current cars as trade (or private party then use cash as down payment) either should be worth about 5k.

One car is my 2003 Focus SVT (decent mpg but cant haul my trailer)
Other is my 2001 s10 4x4. (obviously better in snow but MPG SUCKS)
I also have a 2008 Suzuki DRZ400 Supermoto (bike) but that wont do much for me in the winter... and I dont really feel like selling it.

I would want to keep one of the vehicles as my winter driver so I can park the GT during the nasty weather months.

I am hoping to be at a 400/month payment. If I can get GT OTD for 29k after trade would be a 24k note. At the promotional rate for 11's (1.9%/60) thats 419 a month.

I graduated college in may of 2009...does ford still do Recent college grad discount? How about ford loyalty credit?

How hard is it to get an X-plan number these days?

I was considering used but its hard to find a base '11 used. All the ones im finding are premiums or have lots of options which puts the used price at 27k -30k+

don't think you'll get an invoice deal, but you could surely get a good deal on an '11...i would trade your vehicle in and then add the money as your down payment...if you sell the car privately you're gunna pay taxes on a higher amount...$400 per month sounds possible...i haven't transferred to the ford dealer that i'm going to, but i do have connections...if somebody doesn't get you an answer first, i can let you know the invoice and any other discounts or whatever tomorrow...shop around first and see what dealers offer you

that depends on alot of factors...a big one being how the 11's are still selling with 12's on the lot...around here, 11's and 12's are selling just fine, so there's no point to lower the price of an 11...if you can find the right dealer, you have a very good chance, but don't think you can walk into any dealership and walk out with an invoice deal

sure u can get invoice, u just need to know how to deal. i ordered mine in may of 10 had it june of 10, paid invoice minus 1250 in rebates. around here they are advertising 3500 off 11 and 2000 off 12.....i have never paid more than invoice for a car. u have to be willing to walk out if they dont deal. talk directly to a manager or internet sales guy.
