I notice on my new 2012 Mustang GT there is a phone button on the radio but if I press it nothing happens. How does the hands free phone feature work?

 

The dealer should have programmed your cell into the car. I believe there is a separate folder with the car as to how to do it. My dealer did both my phone and the wifes, plus a detailed "how to" upon delivery.

 

you need to make sure you phone has its blue tooth activated. Once that is done it will sync with your phone and you will be able to make calls.

 

Did you get the package that has a blue tooth. A base gt has a button but it doesn't function

 

its only to answer/hang up the phone, you have to press the " talk thing" above it and say PHONE to access your blutooth. you have to hold 3 seconds to hang up..

 

if you don't have sync it doesn't do anything

Thanks for all your input..It seems that the button is a dud!! I will pm Ford Rep to see if he can be of some assistance. I am located in Antigua where the Ford dealer here has no clue!!
