Default Need some advice

Hey all, need some advice from you guys since when it comes to cars you always tend to guide me in the right direction.

Recently I bought a set of brembo take of wheels, wheel, TPMS, stock Pirelli tires. I paid a little over $1100 after shipping for all 4, and I was reasonably happy with that. Problem arrives that I received 3 of the 4 wheels and currently UPS is investigating what happened to the 4th wheel (probably some punk stole the damn thing).

Unfortunately today brings along the 3rd full day of the investigation with nothing to show for it (they have 5 business days to find it), and to be honest I'm really worried they aren't going to find it. I need to ask the seller what he insured each wheel for, but I don't see it exceeding $300. My issue comes that there aren't many take off sellers out there trying to sell these individually so $300 ain't gonna cut picking up a new one.

What would your course of action be from here?

Out of the 500 or so items I've shipped with UPS alone, only 2 have ever been refunded- one lost and one damaged. There was a third that was returned damaged, but that's another story.

The refund for the lost item took 8 weeks after I filed the paperwork, which was another 5 days after the original shipment date. The seller or buyer can file the initial paperwork, but both parties have to agree and sign the final document... if I remember correctly. I submitted paperwork of the initial sale and of an similar item for proof of value. If the four wheels were shipped separately, you'll get the refund for one.

If it were me, I would file the claim immediately, and attempt buy a single from the same vendor if possible. Otherwise, I would simply return the other three wheels. Either way, you're stuck waiting.

Are the Brembo wheels the same as the Ford Racing Track Pack wheels. If so, check these out.

Just to add a little more information, the seller was just an individual so I don't think he's going to accept me returning the other 3 wheels. And because of how inflated store prices are on the brembo wheels etc, it looks like to pick up the last one on it's own will run me about $750 for the wheel and Pzero Max. Perf Summer tire. That doesn't even include mounting or TPMS.

So it's looking like I'm going to have to try to sell these all off individually....this sounds like it's going to be one massive pain in the ***

Damn for prices that high it might be worth checking the stealership.

I'd sit tight and see what the investigation continues to yield while in parallel , looking for a replacement 4th wheel. No sense getting any more spun up since there's not a hell of a lot you can do at this point, despite it being a royal PITA. You may luck out and UPS will locate the 4th or you'll find one at a price that the insurance will cover. Think positive (but I'd still mark an "x" on the wall where I may eventually punch a hole in).

Unfortunately the track pack wheels aren't the same as the Brembo wheels, the structural design is exactly the same, but the paint is different (the Brembo wheels have a lighter almost charcoal grey color to them. But I do appreciate you looking for a better option for replacement out there .

@Nuke: lol that's good advice, I'm trying to sit tight and not worry as much as I possibly can since I know there's really not anything I can proactively do right now. And of course I can't help but enjoy the X on the wall comment hahah
