Default Shift light

Can anyone give me some guidance and wiring info on a shift light for my 2008 GT? Also what one would you recommend?

Imo... if you are set on getting a Shift light, I would go with the RAPTOR.
With this one, You won't need to buy the separate Autometer Ignition Adaptor (part #9117)....
Saves you about $85.00

Interesting, I didn't know there was one available that didn't require the adapter! Link!

Hey Slick...If my memory serves me correct, there is only the one model
RAPTOR Shiftlight ....just different housing colours and LED light colours.
See Web site for pictures etc....

Hmmm, I got the Raptor mini shift light with launch feature (link) and it didn't require any separate autometer adapter. Just 4 wires: power, ground, rpm (connected to a coil), and speed sensor (for launch). I also wired it on a relay so it turns on/off with the key with my gauges, but no big deal.

Hi slickman,

If you decide to replace the shift light and are unable to get specific details on wiring, you may want to purchase the wiring diagram for your Mustang. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

I have it all setup now. I only have one question, whats with the statement in the instructions "set the shift light to "1 cylinder" mode (1/2 ppr)" ??

When I had it set to 1 cyl (as per the instructions) the RPM setting for the shift light to come on was not correct, I had to set it for 2. Did I miss something or am I misunderstanding this setup process?
