Default Door Hard to open

The passenger door on my 05 GT is a little hard to open from the inside. It seems as though the latch isn't fully released. I thought that it may need adjusted. Isn't this a cable release? Has anyone else encountered this problem? I looked for a TSB and found nothing. Seached the Forum also and came up empty. This may be a rare problem.

Have you tried lubricating the latch mechanism first? It is easy to get to and many times can get gummy and not release well.

No, I haven't done anything yet. I get some time I'll try some lube and check it out more closely.

And while I have never taking the door off my 05 GT, yes it should just be a cable.

Lube is such a great invention.
We need it for so many purposes in life.
