problems lowering car

Did you indexed the mounts when you put everything back together?
That could be the reason...

You can use pre 2011 Mustang struts. The GT500 struts may be different.

So i can use any 2005-2010 mustang gt struts with those motor mounts?

So unless my car came stock with the GT500 Strut mounts ... I didn't have to change anything I put my Ford Racing springs on and haven't had any trouble.
