Default Shortys vs LTs help

Now I know that longtubes give more power than shortys.. But my question is are shorties worth putting on? I know a guy with a set and is selling them for 100 bucks they are pypes shorty headers.. I wondering if it would be worth it to put them on since he's selling them so cheap and would they actually do anything for my car powerwise since they basically have shortys on them now?

Go with the LTs. A little extra money but worth it. I was wondering the same thing a long time ago and came to the conclusion that LTs are just better in general.

There's a lot of debate and most folks will tell you LT's over shorties or don't bother. Does Florida have emissions testing? That should help answer your dilemna.

I know LTs are better but it's a 100 bucks for a set of shorties I could probably get them for 80.. That's why I'm asking if it would be worth it cause they are so cheap if the power they give would be worth it for how cheap they are.. And no Florida doesn't have emissions testing

No emissions = LT's, IMO. The power difference is worth the additional cost over those shorties.

Even if you got them for free, don't bother they are a total waste of time! As for emissions, I have long tubes and my car passes emissions here in NY.

They won't really do much.... Go with the LTs.

My JBA ceramic titanium coated shorty headers stay cool to the touch and definitely help keep the engine bay cool.. they also look 100x better then the stock steel elbow manifolds.. I agree with the LT's making a ton more power, but add a high flow catted H or X pipe to shorties and they make to be a decent mod.
