Default Exhaust help

I have an 07 V6 Mustang and looking for a good exhaust system. I don't want one that is crazy loud because I think that would sound bad on a V6, but I don't want one that sounds raspy like a import. Any suggestions??

First, you won't EVER get a V8 sound from a V6 but there ARE things you can do to the V6 to improve the tone a bit. Check out the V6 subforum since 99% of all exhaust discussions for the V6 reside there. There are a lot of choices so if you use the search feature you should get a good smattering of them all; anywhere from swapping the OE muff to one from a manual GT to converting to a dual exhauts system.

a friend of mine has a V6 and he did the dual conversion with the SLP Loudmouths and it sounds great

OE GT mufflers (M/T are apparently better sounding than ones from autos) are a good place to start, cheap and most people have them laying around collecting dust (myself included).

IMO the best set-up for a sixxer is an H pipe with GT takeoffs. The H pipe is deeper than the X (which is raspier) and the GT takeoffs aren't super loud so it won't sound like schit, which I find most aftermarket exhausts on the six do because they're going for an aggressive tone, which usually sounds ricey. Plus you can get the GT mufflers for next to nothing so it's a win-win in my book

I have a GT takeoff, from a manual transmission., Definitely louder than stock.
I don't have the money to do a dual conversion right now, so I'm thinking I'll just throw a SLP loudmouth on mine for now.
