Default MGP Caliper covers

I saw these mentioned in another thread and checked it out. I like the idea and am thinking of getting them. They look pretty cool and the install seems to be easy.
Who has them and what do you think and if you have any pics please post them.
Thanks

Been thinking about the same thing. Might have to put some thread lock on the bolts to ensure they don't pop off or anything.. will definitely take them off for the track though.. on the rears at least.

I have seen a set in person and personally I do not think they are worth the $180 or whatever it is for them. Its just a piece of aluminum that attaches to the caliper. If you are doing it for a specific color I would save your money and just buy some caliper paint and paint them yourself. It is easy.

I have a set. I have also painted calipers before. This go around I painted the caliper black and put on the red covers. A real head turner. With 19" wheels it looks nice.

+1
Can of VHT caliper paint $12 and a few hours of your time to me is a better option than $180 for red or black covers

Thanks for all of your comments. What I really want is to do a whole brake upgrade either Brembo or Saleen, but kinda hard to hide that one from the wife. So I'll give these a try and get a custom engraved set. If they look as good as some of you say it'll hold me over until I can get the others.

2005 Redfire6 your new sig is awesome!!

Question...if you were going to put these on a Redfire car, would you go with red or black? I've thought about it...but I can't decide if the red would blend in, or if it would stand out because it is off. I've also thought of getting them and painting them...I just don't like the look of the calipers altogether...has nothing to do with the color aspect really.

On 20s...they really stand out.

I have Brembos up front but have a set for the rears. Nice touch, quality part, easy install, and a great company to deal with.

I went the painted caliper route first. I like going to car shows and have my car looking its best. I was having to constantly touch up the caliper due to chips and such. I finally broke down and bought the caliper covers... IMO they look 100% better than any factory caliper... painted or not.

I've had them for about ten months now and still like 'em as much as the day I got 'em. No more repainting or touching up calipers and as an added bonus... reduced brake dust and the wheels stay cleaner longer.
