raising front end?

Default raising front end?

Hello all i got some 2006 gt rims for my v6. Since they are 17s and i have 16s i think i am going to have to raise the front end for clearance? Can anybody help me out with some info? Thank you all!

You should just be able to jack your car up, take off the old wheels, and tighten down the new ones.... You shouldn't have clearance issues.

The rims themselves will be 1" larger, but the overall diameter of the tires will be the same, or as close to the same as it doesn't matter.

Don't worry about it. If it was a set of rims and tires from another car completely then you would have more to sweat about and more research to do, but you're fine from Mustang to mustang in the same generation.

How much sidewall are we talking about? Unless you've got those 17s wrapped in mud tires, you're fine. You should be absolutely fine, no clearance issues.

Changing from 16" to 17" rims means nothing.
Its the frickenschmicken tires you have wrapped around these 17" rims that matters.
What size are they??
