gt500 fuel system ??
Is there a difference in the gt500 fuel system for the 05-09's and the 2010's?? American muscle lists a kit that they say fits 05-10's for $659 (best price found and shipping is quick since I am not to far) but brenspeed has 2 kits listed, one for the 05-09's and one for the 2010's. They say the 2010 uses a different kit and if its not used the fuel reading will be incorrect, but I find this hard to believe cause all s197 mustangs (05-10) use the same tank and fuel pump setup. I mean even the gt500's use the same tank as the gt so how can this be logical? Also JDM only lists one gt500 system for the 05-10 mustangs and they work hands on with the systems.
If you have been following my threads, I am returning my BAP and going with the gt500 pumps. Both Krazy house and JDM only tune for the gt500 pumps and both are great tuners. I was going to go with Kevin @ Sansone but I really dont feel comfortable leaving my car with him for more than a day when I can go to JDM or Krazy house and have the pumps installed (I am installing myself though) and get tuned all in the same day. I am not saying Kevin isnt a bad tuner, cause he is GREATTTTT and everyone loves him cause he gets it running PERFECT, but the whole needing my car for almost 2 days isnt for me just to tune the car.
Also Jimmy Larocca tunes for mustang at Krazy house, who used to own Laroccas Performance out in NJ and supposedly they were great mustang people.

Has anyone heard of there being fuel reading problems on the newer s197's (08-10)? I was just reading about problems with the fuel gauge reading incorrectly but also read that it was most common on the 05-07 because of false wiring on the pump setup. Is this true and all you have to do is reverse the wires on the fuel sender harness if its reading incorrectly?

I receive monthly. They did a GT500 pump install on 2010 GT and
mentioned something about having to swap two of the wires in
caption form under a picture of the install...
If its electrical related, I pick up on it right away.
Which one and which month, only god knows.
A simple google search came up with this:
Ford Racing M-9407-GT05 fits 2010 Mustang GT and make a
great upgrade for anyone who wants to increase their fuel capacity.
The GT500 fuel pump kit is great for a 2010 Mustang GT owner that
does not need the fuel capacity that two Ford GT Supercar pumps
can provide, but would like to increase their boost levels, above the standard 5 PSI.

Yeah I was actually reading alot about it last night, it seems that if your gauge isnt reading correctly or you get an error, all you need to do is reverse the 2 wires and it should work. I am debating on having a shop install it, just so if they do something wrong theyre responsible
