ordering a 12 5.0

I say go for the Auto and GT/CS. Definitely not the 1000 though.
The auto is a little slushy when its from the factory so I'd say definitely pick up a high quality tune. It feels infinitely better after that though. It's just nice not to worry about shifting, but I suppose I do agree that it takes some of the fun out of driving around. Needless to say though, with the MT-82 I'd easily choose auto since those boxes suck. Too hit or miss for me.

Once you place an order, make sure you let me know so I can track it for you. PM me the order number and dealer code, or name/state and I'll keep you updated on it's status.

I have heard MANY people get bored with Autos on the track.
I know I would. Consistency also comes with the price of redundancy.
I'd take the variation in times and working to be a better driver any day over
consistency. The manual gives you more goals to accomplish at the track.
That being said. The tranny issue on the new 5.0 would make me wait to get one until the issue was resolved. I would not get an auto though because of that.
I'd just save up money until the issue was resolved and put a FAT down payment on the car or have money already set for mods.
