Default How much

Hey guys, i'm in high school and will be trading in my 2004 escape for a 2005 v6 mustang, i don't want anything special just a stock mustang, probably looking for a red or black one, any ideas on price that it should be?

Im thinking the same thing, a pony package would be closer to 15k and the base model would be closer to 10k.

Go for the PP if you can find any possible way to afford it. Better wheels, cool spoiler, GT suspension parts, better grill with fogs, etc. I got mine for 13K with 31K miles and in great all around shape.

+1.

It's a deal like none other to be honest, almost like pieces of an appearance package and a performance pkg were mixed together. You won't find an 05 with the pony pkg, they were 06 and up i believe.

Got mine with less than 25k (I think, its been a while) miles on it for about $16k with an extended warranty from the dealer... Not the best deal, but it was nice to get the warranty and deal with a very mod friendly dealership for a change (one reason I bought from them).

Try checking those dodge/chrysler and chevy dealers because they might have mustang trade-ins running for cheap to get off the lot... I've heard of several people doing that and getting a nice deal.

IF you have your heart set on an earlier model (05-06) then familiarize yourself with the TSBs (water leak was a big one) out for them, and check the car thoroughly before purchase, good luck!

And i say start from the ground up.
08 base v6 13K
gt sways $100
dual exhaust $300
CAI and tune $500

I guess it depends on if you plan on modding the car down the road.

Well yeah, but alot of people are going to buy the upgrades the PP comes with anyways, like spoilers, cooler rims, GT suspension parts, etc. Getting them already installed straight from Ford saves you time and money. The only thing is with the PP grill, if you are going to get a GT bumper (and consequently the grill), you already have the foglights, so that in itself is not an upgrade.
