Default HOW TO?? Add GT/CS fog lights and keep grill fogs too

Just placed an order for the GT/CS front with boss splitter. I also ordered DDM Tuning HID for all four fog lights (35w 5000K). Question is, how do I hook them all up? Do I need to get a new wiring harness? Is there a splitter for the lights? I've seen a few stang with this combo but can't remember who.

Thanks!

If you just want the CS fogs to do whatever the grille fogs are doing, then the answer is as simple as a relay. There are relay kits sold all over the place for lights. Or, you can search "Fog light relay" on the forum, and I'm sure there are threads all over the place.

I'm a little confused, after doing to googling, I think I'm supposed to run new lines and will not be able to use the existing lines for the grill fog lights. Can anyone clarify?

You are not trying to get factory integration, correct? 2 sets of HID fogs from these guys?

Can you give a link to the product in question? I'm unsure if there's a low amp remote line for the switch, or if it's just a higher amp switch that uses the main power line.

You can hook them together, if there's a remote low amp line for switching on/off, or you will need a standard 12v automotive relay as Hawkeye18 stated. A relay is a relatively simple concept, give 12v low amp power for electromagnetic coil, closing or opening the other circuit(s) to then power on/off higher amperage devices. More info here.

In either case you will need to give them separate main power lines/grounds, and figure out some way to mount 4 ballasts in there.

why would you want 6 lights possibly running? or even 4 fogs?

Because I feel in love with this set up.

After reading the trend, he said he hooked it up with the side markers. Going to PM to see how.

Use the power from the side-markers to trigger the relay for the lower fogs.

I like this picture, because it really shows what needs to happen:

If you want the marker lights to trigger the lower fogs, you'd tap the line
feeding one of the markers, and hook it up to the connection marked "85"
in the above picture.

Yep and in some states its illegal for any
more than 4 forward shining lights on public roads.
But just splice them in and its done.
You might want a 'by-pass' switch for those occasions
when you dont want the extra two lights.
Thats why the kits have a 'selector' switch instead
of just making them mimic the OEM fogs...
Its 'illeagal' in some if not all states...
Just saying.
