Yup! Cost about $700 all told, but fortunately for me, my dad paid for most of it. I'd just come back from a year in Baghdad and I guess he was happy I wasn't dead lol.

It was definitely one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. I don't think I managed to take that car to more than 8/10ths, but even that was pretty exhilarating.

The Boss 302 has the same chassis as the 2011 Mustang, right? If so it shouldn't be too expensive to make my Mustang handle just as well. Suspension, brakes, and (years down the road) a Boss 302 engine. Now if I could just get my hands on that orange X-brace in the back.

On street tires for just a quarter mile I'll take on a Shelby everyday of the week, they don't hook up well, at the track on DR it's a different story but on the street from a dead stop I would bet the Boss runs just as well as a Shelby up to 90-100mph, I mean the 0-60 are pretty much the same. As far as the money goes, I don't see what people are complaining about, you take a 5.0 and put on the Boss manifold, the Recaro seats, the Torsen Differential, the P-Zero tires, and the damping system you're gonna be right around the same price as a Boss, if you do save any money it ain't gonna be a lot.

Considering the following factors, the Boss LS produces less torque (380ft-lbf crank) but is cheaper (under $47-48K)
Where the GTR is pushing double the LS price (pushing $90K) and produces easily much more torque (448 ft-lbf crank), is AWD (twice the grip at a dead stop),
I say the Boss LS did well compared to the GTR.

Great showing by FORD and the BOSS 302! Despite not being in the same class or price range as any of those other cars, the Mustang held its own. And that was some high praise for the one editor to say that the BOSS "feels like a world-class car". Now I just need to get my butt in the driver's seat of that car so I can see what it feels like!

I think you could buy 2 Mustangs, a Raptor, and a really nice boat to pull with the Raptor for the price of a few of those cars.

You give me a stock 2012 mustang 5.0 and the amount of money it would take to equal the price of any one of those cars and I can make that mustang run circles around that car.

That was real fun to watch... Though 8th place ain't the best, the boss is still a beast on the road... Real fun to drive...
