Default 2014 Mustang

Hope this article is wrong http://editorial.autos.msn.com/blogs...026&GT1=220026 If it is true, Ford is not designing my next Mustang. They did it so perfect for 05 through 09, bringing me back to Ford ownership after being away for decades. In my opinion, from the design standpoint, they began to lose their way with the 10, now this.

After owning a 30, 40, 55, 60 and 63 my 09 might be my last Ford. Oh well, got to enjoy two GTs while it lasted.

Ford would be wise to keep in mind what the Mustang faithful love about this vehicle. We'll see what happens!

Well the retro look cant last forever.
I like that it is changing in that the 05-09's will be even more
identifiable.

Now... I don't want them to just go and ditch ALL the heritage of the Mustang though.

As much as the SN95 and new edges were good looking cars, they just did not
say Mustang to me. Nor many of the traditional Mustang folks.

The people that grew up with those cars do not think this though because that is the Mustang THEY were used to seeing. But is really was quite a different looking car compared to the traditional Mustang look. I don't want to see the car go THAT far away from it's heritage.

I welcome the change. Its time for a design that defines the current generation, not one from fifty years ago

Ford pays attention to us Mustang lovers, it'll be a good design.

On a side note, it's time for a change...I love how Ford sets the example and it takes GM 5 years to figure out what Ford is doing so right.
This one will outsell and perform the Slomaro and by 2019 GM will figure it out and be forced to change their design to keep up.

I'm glad it won't be another retro design. Time to move forward with something new. Watch Chevy and Dodge copy us in 2017... as always.

It's funny that people find this surprising. It's called moving forward people, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but you can't produce the same car, the same way, for 50 more years and call it a day. They had to break the retro period and bring out something new, fogeys and muscle car lovers are a breed in decline.

Not to say I don't love the retro theme going on now, but I think it's naive to believe that it would or should last forever.
