Default Anybody know about PlastiDip?

this stuff seems awesome. I made a thread a week ago about how I am going to black out my rims, and got a ton of good advice....

but today I stumbled across this product and it seems way better than painting the wheel. I can spray the wheel black without having to sand first. the plastidip holds up pretty well overtime. and lastly if i ever get tired of it I can just peel it off. Heres the video i plan on following http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Norxf...eature=related

so has anybody used this stuff or know about it?
- also where can i buy it? and how many spray cans do you think i would need for 4 wheels?

One forum I frequent has many many people who use it; that said I've heard nothing but good things about it. I've considered doing mine as well.

And lol at the guy's music choice. Never listened to BMTH's remix album. Interesting.

Used plasti dip on my V6 wheels, and held up for the 8 months they were plastied. I had some serious curb rash at one point during those 8 months and I just sanded the area and sprayed right over the whole thing again with the wheel on and I didn't even peel off the old layer.

Hmmm... I don't recall how many I used. 2 should do it. If you plan on spraying the inside of the wheel, go for 3 cans unless you desire the two tone theme.

Quick tip, drop a coin in the lug nut holes to cover the threads. If not, when you go to mount your wheels back and twist the lug nuts on, the painted threaded area will peel up if that makes sense.

Hey, what's up BeachB! How's the repairs going on your rear bumper?

I've bought Plasti Dip from Home Depot and Lowes. Think it's about $7 bucks a can.

I bought 3 cans from Home Depot. About $5.00 a can.
I'm doing the rims and running horse fender emblems this weekend.
