What do I need..
to swap out gears from stock to 4.10s? Will I need to upgrade anything? What are the differences from brand to brand, is it just a matter of quality or what? I have an Automatic Transmission, so what will I experience with them as far as gas mileage and performance and would they make that much of a difference?
I'm looking for quicker acceleration so would these be the best ratio to go for or what?

You want ford racing gears, dont go cheap, whine will most likely happen. With an auto you most likely want 373 gears. Lots of opinions though on gears. I love my 410s but I have a stick. Tons of threads on this man.

Yeah that's what I was going to do. Either that or my uncle who can do them as well. He does all his own stuff to cars and has built many rear ends. He just lives three states out. Lol.

Yeah if the install isn't done properly, they'll whine. Not something to cheap out on. Might also want to look into a rebuild/install &/or bearing kit from AM depending on the condition of your rear
Go for a FRPP gear also. As far as which ratio to go with, that's up to you. Lots of info/debate on that topic. I'd vote for a 410 despite having a 373 gear in mine.

General opinion is auto 373 stick 410. Some say 410 is to much for an auto. Not to much difference in gas mileage so I would go 410, unless you plan to sc it. I know I know I have 410 with a sc... Too each his own. I love
my setup though. 410 is perfect with the centri Blower I have, I had did the car like that for a reason so if you have a plan then It's easier to decide.

Yeah I really don't like the idea of supercharging or putting on a turbo. To me it's too easy to just do that, I would rather build the motor (which is what I plan to do). To me building it is more impressive than just saying, "Yeah I just have a supercharger pushing about 500hp." Plus I'm looking for more reliability and less maintenance.
Why exactly would they say it's "too much"? That's a pretty general statement to tell someone that knows nothing about this stuff. Lol.
This is what I was looking at.

Yeah, to me it doesn't sound like it would be worth it as much to just go with 3.73 in an auto, I think it would basically just get it to about the performance level of manual as far as acceleration goes. The autos are slower off the line than a stick and offer less power overall so I would like to surpass that. This is just my thought process and I am really not going off of anything but I'm guessing that's about how it would feel.
