Default Brembos or no?

Hey guys, I have been lurking for a while, and I love the site. I am hoping to grab up a brand new mustang this coming spring and I have run into a snag. I was wondering if the brembo package is worth it, or if the stock suspension and brakes were more than enough? I dont plan on running it down the track very often, but it will be driven like any respectful 5.0 owner should, if you catch my drift! I do like the wheels it comes with, but I know the aftermarket is loaded with other nice wheel options. I plan on the 3.73 gears. But the brembos are where I am unsure of...basic bolt ons and tunes will be appied, it is a possibility the car could see nitrous shot, and maybe even a supercharger down the road( of course I would upgrade then if I need too). Did people who drove the base package and a car with the brembos notice a difference in handling? Thanks for the help!

Brembo equipped cars don't come with a spare tire. There is not as much brake fade with the brembos....I would be able to live without them.

If you like the wheels, then I think it's worth while to go for the package.

I didn't have the money for it, but if I did I would've definitely added the brembos. I own the wheels as I personally love them, bought them "new-used" and use them for my summers. In terms of braking though, the Brembos are better...but if you're not hitting the track, then the stock GT brakes are still pretty beefy, certainly enough to get you stopped in a hurry. Strong enough in fact that after driving my GT all the time, and then getting into my mom's camry, I once ended up causing it to start ABS'ing because I wasn't used to those crappier brakes lol.

I ordered my 2012 with brembos just because I like the wheels.

I have it also, but because I like the wheels as well.

If you plan on eventually swapping in new wheels and springs, then it's probably not worth it.

Well I am not sure if I would swap the wheels since I like the ones that come with the brembos, stock wheels, sure they will be swapped. I may lower the car, but I am unsure there also. Anything else that you would recommend or not when it comes to buying one of these cars??

if you can afford them, its a good upgrade.
when you swap rims, the stock brakes and calipers are more obvious.
performance wise, i dont think they are necessary unles you will be racing, especially road racing.
getting them with the car will save you the upgrade later.

Id say go for it. You can always pick up a spare from parts and get a wheel spacer to run it up front should you ever need to.
