looks like a very nice driver, love the pony grill
as far as idvise, impo: enjoy it, keep it clean and maintained, save the money until you can trade it in for a v8. clean, unmolested cars will get the best trade/resale value.

Ed makes a good point. If you have any desire for v8 power dont waste your cash on modding this one. If your stoked with a v6 then have at it. For me I wanted my car to fit my personality. Mine is a loud, rude, but clean looking muscle car that I race every month. I went with the legend splitter(not many people run them) as it has a nice aggresive look, 66 Gt badges, GT500 spoiler, enkei black wheels which you hardly ever see on mustangs, some side quarter window covers and a eleanor center fog grill.
Define what you want before you buy anything. Have a long term plan for it and over time your car will be transformed into exactly what you want. The journey getting your car there is the fun part.

This is where Im going to break with alot of people and probably take alot of flak as well.
The Pony Package 17s are my favorite rims. Keep them. And the rocker stripe as well. In that area, I would want to replace the plastic runners with GT takeoff painted ones.
Nothing wrong whatsoever with the PP grille or front end. Again, my faves.
A few cheap mods you need are a shorty antenna ($20) and tinted turn signals. I wouldnt do tinted head or tail lights with the blue body, which I LOVE.
Getting more expensive now. Lowring springs, around $250 a set, will give your car a unique stance and some handling benefits. Then, I would add an aftermarket hood. Check out cervinis.com. I have the type IV on my 09 PP, and I LOVE it. You can also get billet heat extractors, whick will look BEAUTIFULL on the blue. See pics below

Fave mod by far. Cosmetically, the only other thing I would do is a white stripe of some kind. Lemans or Supersnake, your call. But in my opinion, thats just sooo sexy with the blue. And lemans is really, really classic.
Last thing I would do is some kind of exhaust. The stock V6 Muffler is really quiet and doesnt let the pony howl. Open her up
If you have a manual, a Saleen short throw shifter can be had for arounf $50.
Thats about all I have cosmetically.
Lastly, on a personal note to the V8 guys, not all of us have the luxury of being able to afford a GT and then the insurance. Especially us young guys. But we love our stangs and do what we can. No, ponies will never have a V8 rumble or 500+ HP, but we love em anyways. Im sure im not alone when I say Im sick of hearing "Quit modding and save for a GT"

Rims/tires check
New Grill check
No decal Check
Side scoops no check, but 1/4 louvers. 1/2 credit?
Great ideas. I love the Pony Package grill but the honeycomb just seemed to sit too far back for me. I love the look of my chrome PP grill with my black grill overlay. Rocker stripes I debated about. Took them off and added GT side skirts. It looks soooooooooooooooooo much better. Wheels, I LIKED the bullits but I LOVE my 2010 GT 500's. Stock amber turn signals have to go, they don't look right on blue stangs IMO. I recently put smoked side markers onand they look great, almost blend with Vista Blue.
Good luck with your mods!

This is what i did to my 07 black pp.
Blacked out head and tail lights
short antenna
Steeda Sport Springs
FRPP Dual Exhaust kit with GTA mufflers
t-lok and 3.73 gears
bama tunes with C&L cai
smoked front signal lights
painted brake calipers white with pony decals
It took me a while.. but I eventually removed the rocker stripes. The car looked much better without them.
I left the pp bullit wheels.. because they kept a more classic mustang look. This was my first mustang, and I always wanted bullit wheels... so I spent my money on the performance.
Here are some pics:
