Default Front end shimmy!

So my front end has a slight shake at like 60/70 mph. tires are new and balanced, front end alligned at last service. Any suggetions on what may be causing this?

just to make sure we understand that correct, if the steering wheel shakes (when brakes are NOT applied) it should be a tire/wheel/balancing issue. the stated speed would be correct to notice these issues and you need to check the wheels, tires, balance, etc.
maybe swap rear wheels to front, if gone swap one wheel back after the other, that should pinpoint to the wheel that is off balance.

if the "front end" shakes i'm not sure what that might be.

I once had a front end shake and it turned out to be one of my pressure sensors not being mounted so it was just sliding around freely which was setting the balance off

Shimmy in the s197 is common and a terrible headache. My winter setup (stock wheels) have virtually no shimmy and when I put on my summer setup, shimmy comes back. This body style just seems to be extra sensitive. As long as I've read on here, most people with shimmy issues never found a solution or cause.

I have it, both on my 2010 and now my 2012, BUT ONLY WITH MY TSW's which means its a balancing problem. Just cause you say they were "balanced" doesnt mean they were done correctly, and one of those metal pieces couldve even fallen off.

The stock rims and tires on my 2012 have 400mi on them and I never had a shake or anything until I put my TSW's on. I am 100% sure that when I put my stock rims back on for winter the shake on the highway will go away.

Hope this helps

I had the same issue when I installed a new set of CS69s. If yours were not balanced on a Roadforce machine, take it to a shop that has one. After a second trip to the tire shop, my vibration was gone.

Did the problem begin with the new tires and balance? I had a similar problem with a new set of tires, took it back to the tire shop for re-balance twice with no luck. Then I went to a more reputable tire shop that had the Hunter Road Force http://www.gsp9700.com/ balance, When they were done the vibration was gone, ride was as smooth as glass.

+1 that the S197's have chronic vibration. Are your wheels OE or aftermarket? Aftermarket wheels require that you remove the wheel stud clip(s) that were usually left on some or all wheels during assembly.
