Reached 40k miles
I would definitely change the plugs if you havent already, and if you have an auto tranny you should change the fluid. Otherwise just the usual oil/filter change and inspect a few other things.
I would 10000% change the plugs if you havent already, but be careful cause you have the older style head which are known for breaking plugs.

when was the last time you changed the cabin air filter?
Sounds funny, but most people do not and wonder why it smells like rotten eggs or dog farts when they turn on the air **** for outside air
I seen some ratty looking CAF's where I work lol
I'd check the diff, trans, brake fluid, belts etc.

Wow I totally forgot about the CAF. My 2010 had a musty smell when I would turn on the AC before I got rid of it. Guess it should've been changed.
I just pulled my CAF out last night for the first time when I went to clean underneath the cowl. It was totally nasty, but because I had half the engine bay unplugged, I just brushed it out. Gotta remember to get a new one this weekend.
Don't forget the fuel filter. If you don't know or can't remember the last time it was changed then it's a good idea to go ahead and change it. It's located below the driver's seat underside of the car.
I just traded in my 2008 GT/CS that had 120,000 miles. There were no problems. Great car. At 50,000 miles I changed my spark plugs, fuel filter and rear end fluid. Every 30,000 miles or so (not exact) when I changed my oil, I would add some stuff called Kreen. It's an internal engine cleaner and almost immediately the engine was quieter. Great stuff. When I traded it in, the car ran just as good as new.
