Default lines on window

when i got my mustang, the window had big lines going down the tint. i think its from something falling in the gap but its on both sides so its unlikely. any suggestions on what to do to save my tint?

Ah, this problem again? Ok, well, it really is not a problem with the tint or anything getting stuck in the track. See, the window is scraping the inside of the track. You need to buy moleskins for the lining on the window, or it will just keep getting worse. The tint is ruined, btw, nothing can get rid of the scratches. Most likely the window underneath is scratched as well, from before the tint, so you might need new windows too.

My windows do the same thing, that is why I haven't gotten them tinted yet. I need to get the moleskins in place first.

I had installed my moleskin before I got the windows tinted. My tint shop said they usually install it anyway on the mustangs. So when I had them install the tint on my dad and brothers car they also installed moleskin

I liked hearing this because it really seemed like this place knew what they were doing!

I was going to do the moleskin, but some people told me about the ford fix for this on the newer model's weatherstripping. You could try that alternative as well, see which one is softer/cheaper. I have rolled my windows up/down probably two dozen times since I got the tint, no scratches yet.

Can't remember the part number but it was the 2008+ model's weather stripping.

Yeah you're going to need the moleskin/felt or newer weatherstripping and re-tint. I have the same problem with my tint, unfortunately I found out about the problem after the fact

I'm actually getting mine re-done to 20% all around. Do I just tell the local tint guy (aka, yellow pages look-up) to put in some moleskin and he should know what to do? How often does this happen to various makes/models?
