Default CA Smog

Its about that time. I need to have the Saleen smogged by the end of Feb. With longtubes, mild tune, and no cats it doesn't look like I'll pass. Any suggestions or recommendations in the Los Angeles area?

I will probably end up putting high flow cats on just for sound reasons although Im sure those won't cut it for smog.

I think the only way to get it pass smog is to put the stock exhaust back on which will be a PITA.

I am more than willing to donate to a local smog tester if anyone knows of any around the LA area.

Get a different address, I live in Ca., rural No. Ca. no smog unless you sell the car, M90,long tubes, Detroit Rockers, Highly massaged heads, B302 bottom end, and VMP tune, I don't think I would pass either.

You cannot get registration w/o passing smog. No tags can lead up to and including impounding the car. Some counties also have various fines for being caught with smog equipment removed.

I would put cats on to start. Most cops just know that you need cats, and will not know a thing about long tubes and the like.

Yeah....no cats = no pass visual. You might pass the sniff but not the visual and without the visual you cant register the car. Cali sucks HUGE *****!
