Unfortunately the 06s didn't have the longer warranty, 3 yrs or 36000 miles, that was it.

It gave me all the information to start. I got the pan and dipstick at American Muscle(best price) and the filter at Rockauto. Our transmissions take Mercon V fluid and synthetic is best. It also explains how you can change fluid in your pan from the underneath drain and pump it up from below which is a terrible method.
Ah thanks!

I would swear my 05gt came with a 5 year 100,000 kilometre warranty, I know it did actually as I type and think lol

Mine comes with a 5 year/60K for powertrain, but honestly I'd rather deal with some preventative maintenance then the headache of having to deal with my dealer's (inevitable) reluctance at fixing a car on their dime. =(

Mine does this too, but I thought it was just the tune lol.

I got my PA deep pan from AM too. Filter from amazon.com. If you guys race a trans catch is a must too especially if you don't have the deep pan with the dip
Stick.

when you did a transmission service, did you flush the entire system with new fluid AND replace the internal filter, then replace with new fluid? Sounds redundant, but I did with my 08 and it last for quite awhile after that. 42k miles with PLENTY of WOT shifts, light to light runs, drag strip time etc. Supercharged, 10 psi 450whp. I also used the BG trans flush @ 35k miles, which supposedly dissolves built up sludge. If you only drain the pan (messy, I know! I've done plenty) and replace the filter, it still leaves like 3 crap quarts in the auto trans.. running amok.

If you notice weird shiet happening (slippings, slow shifts, lagging shifts) it's almost too late and you need it done ASAP. Just saying. 3yrs.36k miles is a joke.. what the hell breaks in that time? bulbs? Turn signals? lol

No,I just did the partial by replacing the filter (a full flush doesn't do that). There is some discussion that a full flush leaves a dirty filter in there which may aid to parts contamination and deterioration. I just wanted to make sure that my fluid wasn't low and causing the slippage. This was the cheapest way to go initially. Fluid and filter cost. The deep pan and dipstick were for future ease of checking and filling and the new filter for cleaning even the remaining dirty oil. If a full fluid level had corrected the slippage, it was my intention to do a couple of more partial fluid replacements have even more fresh fluid in the unit. Now it appears the level may not have been that low and it still slips when full, so I have to make more complete transmission repairs.

After some research and deliberation I purchased and installed the Super Streeter 5R55S from Performance Automatic. It come with a deep pan and dipstick. Installed it the other day and filled it up with Valvoline Mercon V. Everything seems to work great. Hope it last longer than the original transmission .

How much does that trans cost and how long did you have to wait for them to ship it? What is its HP and torque rating?
