Interesting how Ford decided to go with this color. Because of the earthquake in Japan last year, it caused a shortage of Xirallic pigment which was used to make Kona Blue. Ford thought about reusing Sonic Blue but that never happened. Instead they came up with a new blue for 2013. Insiders say it is very similar to Sonic Blue but a little darker.

I've got to be honest. The more I look at the '13 model the less I like it. It's just too Euro. That color's sick though. I love anything that's similar to sonic blue!

 

Shoot, where do I sign? That is smokin! I like the revamp on the taillights. Front end is similar to a 05-09 GT500. Stock hood is sweet. Those wheels, if stock, look like a revision of the black/machined GT 500. Even the back panel and license plate area look smooth. Man good thing I don't have a little dough burning a hole in my pocket! Damn kids! They don't need to go to college right?

 

Rage mustang = 2013 front end.

 

Sonic blue and Atlantic blue metallic are the two best colors ford ever put on a mustang. This new blue is not far behind.

 

The blue looks very good. The redesign on the other hand...ugh. I think I've narrowed it down though. I think it's the fog lights that kill it for me, because I like the way the GT/CS looks but not the GT. They look like an after thought with the new front end. Otherwise I really like the redesign.

 

This shade of Blue rocks. As for the nose - looks similar to the new charger - very agressive stance... guess I'll have to see one in person to know for sure.

 

I was always partial to vista blue. but I like this one.

 

I do like it, for me, although I know Kona is gorgeous in direct sun, it seems way too dark and almost black when its not a bright sunny day out. It's good to see something similar to sonic blue coming back around.

As for the whole redesign, there's highs and lows for me. If someone remakes tails that look really similar to the 2013's, but for the 2011/2012s, then I'm in.
