E Brake Locked Up / Froze

I bought new cables for my 05 two years ago... this year they started freezing again. I just don't use the parking brake when it's below freezing anymore.

OP, if they're frozen, it doesn't mean they're done, they'll unfreeze when it warms up.

Exactly. After I did a little more looking into the problem, this was the first thing I thought of. I don't park on a hill, so leaving it in gear and e-brake off seems to be the way to go for now in sub-freezing temps. Around $200 to DIY isn't bad, but that's going to have to be a spring/summer project.
