Default Cams with 107k miles?

So I'm going to be buying cams for my car and was wondering should I get a lower mileage motor to put them in or will they be fine in my motor that had 107k miles?

V6 now I know everyone is going to say why not just go v8 it's cause I love my v6. Unless anyone has done heads and cams on their v6 and can tell me it's not worth it then I'm sticking to it

Nah, I'm not asking why not just go V8.. I just didn't find any cams for V6.. which one are you looking at? could you link it?

I don't see any problem getting the cam with 107k mile since another forum member just pu 200k miles oh his car.

I have been in contact with Tom at super six and he says they are testing just cams without the heads so I'm looking to get a set as a tester for them. He says they are looking at 40-50 gains in hp/tq

Just to be honest, there is no way in hell anybody will get 40-50 gains in cams alone.

In my 3V V8, My Comp Cams added 25 rwhp and some folks MAY see 30 but 40 - 50? I'd ask to see dyno sheets before plunking down money. And that those dyno sheets have exact same mods, same day, same dyno.

They are test cams they haven't done any dynos with them yet I would be the first to actually see what gains they give. I was only expecting maybe 25 gains not that much more

Whose the manufacturer of the cams? Just curious.

Be interesting to test and find out but I wouldn't have your hopes up for 25 rwhp either. Lot depends on supporting mods as well as lobe, duration, ect ect of the cams themselves.

"These performance cams are
224/230 degrees duration at .050, so the duration is much longer, same broad
lobe separation angle as stock, approximately the same lift range."
This is what said about them and what's a price for cams for the v8?
