Putting in mgw short shifter in 2007 v6 mustang and i was attaching the bracket to hold the shifter up and the two screws that are screwed into the metal actually snapped off. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Someone help

WAY too much torque. Call MGW and order new bolts.

If your talking about the 2 bolts welded to the trans tunnel. You'll probably have to drill the out and drop bolts in through the top.

Ouch, I wasn't thinking of those two. Yeah, you did a number on your ride bro.

i thought it was a big problem, but it ended up not being to bad. the bracket just moved back a little and i drilled holes from in the car and put lock bolts on the end. Its firm and looks like its good.

While i look away in horror at the mistake, I look in with admiration on the ability to just get the job done! Good job man.

They talk about that exact thing in their video for installation, saying those studs break easily if overtightened. Guess they're right. So take comfort in the fact that others have done this many times if they stress it that much! You're not alone! LOL

You have to put your picture on a site like photobucket first... You can't find a pic in a folder on your computer and put IMG blocks on it.
