I just installed K springs with the GT500 hats, I got a pair of Koni's from Sam but I can tell there's some negative camber. I am taking it in this week to get an alignment. I bought a set of BMR camber bolts just in case.

 

I installed k springs over a year ago on the stock shocks/struts. No issues at all.
I was running the stock tires and didn't need the panhard bar until I put on wider wheels. Alignment was within spec and no uneven tire wear.

 

as I said on svtp you can do the springs with or without camber bolts! Get the adj panhardbar and you don't need the gt500 strut mounts if you are going to stay with the stock shocks and struts they wont fit!

 

I was told the exact opposite by American Muscle. If you plan on using the Ford Racing K springs, you must upgrade to the GT500 tophats. From them.

 

you can't use them.. they don't fit the 2011-2012 stock struts.. If you want to buy them you can you'll just see you wasted the money on them, I promise you this.. They are just trying to sell you something that they obviously have no clue as to what they are talking about!!!

 

Why would American Muscle lie? Seems odd, and dubious that they'd have no clue. You're the first person I've heard this from. Everyone else says to go GT500 tophats when doing K springs. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Wonder what their return policy is if I don't need em.

 

do some research on 2005-2010 yes GT500 mounts can and should be used... 2011-2012's cant because they will not fit the stock struts! the only way to make them work on a 2011-2012 is to buy 2005-2010 aftermarket struts shocks.. you can do your own homework or get helpful imput as I am giving you and save your money.. Or you can buy a part that you wont be able to use from a company that a Salesman is trying to sell you!

 

Thanks for all the help guys!! I also posted this on SVTP.com and all the answers are coming back the same. The stock shocks and struts will be good and most people arent needing any camber bolts when they get it aligned. So I am going to get the springs and a panhard bar, and save the gt500 mounts for when I get my konis in the spring..

Anyone have any pics of the springs on their car? I havent seen many 2010+ with them installed

 

I've had them on my car for about a year now, no issues and did not install anything besides them. Got an alignment after upgrading my rims and had no issues.

 

I went through the same thing while researching suspension for mine. I ended up getting the K-springs, GT500 mounts, and the Koni Str.t's. I havent installed the setup yet but cant wait.
