Default Boss Exhaust System?

I was just browsing around on AM today and I noticed that they sell the Boss 302 exhaust system from Ford Racing. For like 800 bucks.

Not that I'd ever do this with my V6, but it got me thinking...would this be possible for us 05-09 guys? It looks like it just hooks up past the cats and goes from there. I've heard the pipes are slightly longer on the 10-13s so it can get past the rear valence, but that's nothing a sawzall and a welding torch couldn't fix. Is the 2010's underbody any different than the original S197's?

Here's the link for people that are curious.

I've heard several Boss exhausts with the plates removed and exhaust open.
and i am not impressed with the sound.
I've heard better sounding exhaust than the Boss exhaust, as far as aftermarket goes.
dont get me wrong, it sounds incredible for a stock exhaust. better than any stock exhaust i've heard.
but you can make a better flowing, and better sounding exhaust with other aftermarket parts.

but to answer your question, i think the under carriage is different starting in 11 bc of the coyote motor.

Undercarriage shouldn't be too different, I mean it is still a S197, but I don't know. I'm sure hanger locations are different though.

Different motor...doubt it would work. Wouldn't sound the same either.

That's true about the sound, but as far as fitment goes, past the cats I'm thinking it would work.

oh ****. I have been brainstorming about how to make my own boss-inspired exhaust. I'd rock the stock mufflers out back, and then open up the straight out side exhaust when I want to party.

Awesome to know they sell this!
