Default Which Wheels?

Hey guys,

Trying to figure out which wheels I wanna go with. I currently have the "polished aluminum" chromey-looking 18" bullets that came with the premium package on the car. I really like the look of the nurburgrings though. Right now, car is straight black. I plan on putting a grabber blue stripe set down the middle though. Which do you think? And in what size? I'm leaning towards the matte gunmetals in 20".

If you like these wheels you can check out the AMR wheels on AmericanMuscle if you want to save some money. If you search AMR wheels on this forum theres a thread with plenty of pics of them on various year Mustangs. Both colors I think would look good but if it were me I would go with the gunmetal/charcoal.

Have you looked at the TSW Valencia's on American Muscle?

If you want 20s I think the American Muscle AMR's only come in 18" and 19". I think the darker wheels would look better on your black car.

Yeah, the AMRs look pretty good, but don't come in 20's it seems. The Nurburgs were kind of a compromise as it was. I wanted Alcoas originally, but couldn't justify $500 a pop for each. Then started looking at the dark-dark train of thought.. not bad. =)

Any particular reason you're leaning towards 20s? Nothing end of the world wrong with them but I feel like once you go past 19" you really start to sacrifice ride quality and you're only adding weight.

I like gunmetal on black better, non matte. IMO black wheels on a black car just is too much black. Light cars get dark wheels, dark cars get light wheels. That's my rule of thumb

Oddly enough, there's more options for 20's than 19's, and they're usually less expensive for tires as well. Seems like 19's are the red headed step child of tires.

I have to agree pdonket. After having 20s on my 07 GT I figured I wouldn't get 20's again simply due to ride quality, road noise and the fact I bent one rim after hitting a minor pot hole. I'm wishing I'd had some patience and waited and got the 19" AMRs.
