Default Underbody Guards (skid plates)

I was wondering if anybody made any for our cars. Especially for those who might be lowering their ride or live in the country where potholes tend to get sneak up on you. I don't plan to go off-roading anytime soon but I don't mind a little protection.

I wouldn't be too concerned about using a skid plate for much other than aero unless you really DO drive excessively fast on gravel roads. Now, if you're looking at an under-body tray as an aero enhancement, that is a valid concern. I made one out of some aluminium years ago for another project car, and even though I never got any track data for the aero enhancement, I did record +3 mpgs after the under-body tray was installed.

@Roy_R

Ha ha, those videos are awesome. I'd never dream of offroading the mustang like that although it looks fun. Maybe next time I get a rental car. The salt flat type driving looks like fun.

@Ditty

I wasn't really concerned with aero although the mpg boost is appealing. I was really just looking for a way to protect the underside incase of anything. I guess I'll go without, I just wanted to toughen it up a little. You never know when we might get into a Mad Max style apocalypse.
