Default Installed CAI, This sound normal?

So I installed an Airaid Cold Air Intake to my 2011 V6 and I just wanted to make sure the new sound it fine. I'm not talking about the whisp sound I know that's normal. And it sounds cool ;p But when the car is climbing a steeper hill or has heavy load it makes a deep sound around 2-3K RMPs. Don't get me wrong it sounds BADASS and aggressive, but I just wanted to make sure everything was okay with the engine. It adds a little drone to the cabin but only for a second or two until I get over the hill or have less people in the car. Just making sure she's breathing okay and this is a normal experience

By your description, I'd say it sounds like it should.

Everything sounds normal until 2-3k rpms, then it comes alive with a real throaty growl. Love it.

Had the same thoughts. Installed new CAI and did the tune and experienced the same sounds. I freaked out a bit thinking I did something wrong or uploaded a bad tune etc... Turns out its normal. Congrats and enjoy!

That's just your car taking bigger gasps of air - you're good.

Like the hood vinyl you did btw, I just added pit marks myself. Black highlights on light/white cars generally turns out well.

that sound is an indication that you need to make your exhaust louder.

There would only be a problem if it didn't put a large Smile on your face when that happens

JayyVee - Thanks dude. I was gonna get the ones you have! But I might get those when I go for a new look later in the year or something. Ya know, just to keep things fresh They look great on yours! And yeah, if you do the right thing to white cars, they can potentially look incredible.

Onederful - That step is next ;p hopefully!

AJ - I completely hear ya bud. Definitely sounds amazing. I actually haven't listened to music in the car the past 2 days. Nor have I been trying to keep the MPG's up It sounds good. Definitely an upgrade everyone should do at some point!

Deep sounds OK. Whistles could indicate a leak.
What tuner did you get with that AirAid intake?
