2012 or 2013?

I stopped by a Ford dealership to pick up my plates for the 2012 I just bought and they had a 2013 GT on the lot. The salesman eagerly took me over to it to see what I'd think. The new front end reminds me of an R34 Skyline and the taillights are so dark they look aftermarket. Sticker price was $40k with a dealer markup of $8,995. I lol'ed a bit. The sales guy looked confused as to why I thought $50k for a GT was funny. He said that everyone has a markup on their goods, even Wal-Mart. I told him "Cool story bro" and left.
In the end, they're both ok looking cars and the looks wouldn't push me away from either. There aren't any major mechanical differences so I don't care. I'd buy whatever is cheaper and with the 13's hitting the lot, those 12's are going to start getting incentives.

Does the interior lights have different color theme in 2012 version?
Yes, the 2012's are going pretty cheap. The one I priced out, GT Premium was 31K with 5 years 0% financing - not I need the financing but I surely don't mind using someone else' money for 5 years without paying interest.
This was not the bottom price. I am sure they can still discount another 2K.

I'm sure you can talk that 2012 down more than $2k. might as well finance it if it's zero percent. Free money!

Has anybody bought a base '13 5.0 yet? Does a base GT have a different standard front upper grille than the premium? I was screwing around on the car search and found these two 2013 base 5.0's. They aren't CS's but have the CS fogs instead of the big fogs in the grille. I'm thinking I kind the look of these better.
