Default x pipe question

okay i have not been under my car to check out the stock h pipe and cats (car is at parents house, im stationed in NY) but will all the off road x pipes on american muscle get rid of the cats? on my 07 the cats were way up there and the h pipe i had was much longer than the new ones that they are selling. are the cats located further back on the exhaust in the new ones? i added a link at one that im looking at, is this bolted after the cats, or does it re-use them.

that x pipe is for JBA LT headers.
all off road x pipes will delete the cats.
are you looking for one with cats or without?

the short midpipes are for LT headers.
the longer ones are for shorty headers or stock manifolds.

this one will bolt up to the stock manifolds.
notice the longer legs that clamp on to reach the manifolds.

Keep in mind without the cats you will get smoke and/or fuel smell, also there is a great article by "svt performance " That tested x vs H pipe and at most the x pipe made 3 extra horse.. but the H pipe produced such a better bass filled growl they preferred the H pipe to the X pipe rasp

Check out the bbk x pipe on their website for 169 bucks..it plugs directly to the factory cats. I have it on mind and it sounds great. I'm in the ballpark that you don't have to pay 300-400 bucks for an x-pipe to get what you are looking for. And remember inspection issues. I know here I wouldn't pass

On the 4.6L, a stand-alone custom tune gains about 15-20 RWHP and the CAI adds roughly 5-7 to that. I don't know how the ratio is on the 5.0 but the CAI & tune combo on the 5.0 yields about 40 RWHP.
