Weather wasn't right, gear ratios weren't right

I'll be watching this closely.

This is the same Cobra Jet that's putting out, according to Ford, "450hp", right? Sure, 450hp... at 7 rpm.

Exactly!.. Something isn't right with this story.. Factory Ford Mustang CJ even with the whipple upgrade makes 475.. I can't see any 475HP car running down 9 second quarters like that. Not unless it cut about 1500 pounds of weight..

Which may be about right, but you know what the pre 1972 cars were. You'd have 2 cars, a Corvette and a Nova, both with a 454, but for some reason the Vette is rated at 570hp and the Nova is rated at 250hp.

Same engine, same specs, same gearing, rated at different RPMs haha

I don't understand what you're trying to say.. What I'm saying is that the Cobra Jet Mustangs, like the one in the article, are making 475HP supposedly.. So either A. Ford is underrating it by a couple hundred HP, or B. That guys Mustang CJ is not stock at all

They are rating the engine without the blower. They rate the HP like that to take advantage of some NHRA rules. That car is making 900hp to the tire I bet.

That's also a little strange since there is two different ratings from Ford.. 435HP with the TVS 2.3 Blower and 475 with the Whipple 4.0 blower.. Which both are extremely low numbers for a 5.4L paired with either blower. The engine is the same in both model so why the difference of 40HP if it's a rating of the engine.
