Default Mustangs on the Mountain Raffle - Joolander Approved

Good day everyone:

The Carolina Chapter is hosting an event on April 28th that will involve runs of the Tail of the Dragon, a car enthusiasts road in Western NC.

While for some folks, this is obviously too far to drive for a day, there is still a point to this. The event is benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a great charity. We are holding a raffle, and you don't have to attend to win one of the multitude of great prizes that have been donated to help the cause. All proceeds go to the WWP, so if you are interested in donating to this charity and possibly winning some great prizes please head over to the events site, listed below, for more details!

Also, if you are close enough to attend, there is information on times and whatnot for the actual event on the 28th!

Here's the link: http://www.wix.com/motmwwp/mustangsonthemountain

Thanks for your time,

HT

Please check back here later tomorrow (today at this point). I'll get ahold of, or get someone else to post up the itinerary for those who'd like to attend the event.

If you are from NC, please PM me and I can help you figure out a place near you that other participants are meeting at the cruise to the Dragon from, as a group. If you are from another state, check out the regional chapters portion of the site (near the top of the forums home page) and see if your state has a thread on the event. If so, post there and see if anyone else is coming that you could cruise with, and if not, start a thread and see if anyone wants to join in for the day.

I will get ahold of the planners and figure out the exact timing for you BWfVA and anyone else interested. Thanks for pointing out that it isn't on the site I linked.

Here's the route that Larry is taking coming out of Raleigh. It really depends on which way you're coming from. If you're coming down 220 then you could meet us at the Colfax Hess Station.

I'm leaving F-town at 0515 and going to the McDonalds at the Highway 56 exit (#191) off of I-85, Mapquest says it's Creedmoor but it's really Butner. I should arrive NLT 0540:
1561 NC 56, Creedmoor NC

EDT from there 0550, going to the Sheetz station in Mebane where I can meet the group coming from Cary and points east. I should arrive NLT 0630:
1237 Mebane Oaks Road, Mebane NC

Est Depart Time Mebane 0645, destination G-boro to meet with Jeff and whoever is there at the Hess station on Sandy Ridge Road, we should get there NLT 0730:
3110 Sandy Ridge Road, Colfax NC

Est. Departure Time G-boro 7:45, destination Hickory, we should get there NLT 0900 to meet up with the rest of the crowd.
1160 Lenoir Rhyne Blvd, Hickory

Once we get to Hickory here's the itinerary for the rest of the day.

• 1st Meeting Point
Bojangles (Exit 125 I-40)
