Default How will these exhaust mods affect the sound?

I currently have Cherry Bomb Extreme axelbacks as my lone exhaust mod on an 08 Cali special

If I were to buy a catted Mac Pro Chamber (http://www.americanmuscle.com/mac-cu...er-0509gt.html), how would the sound (currently very deep though with moderate volume) change with regard to the tone/volume if I re-used the stock cats? What if I replaced the stock cats with Hi-flows?

Also, would either of these setups cause a check engine light?

Many questions, I know. lol

Pro chambers are known to make the tone even deeper. Reuse of the stock cats shouldn't trip a light, some hi flow cats might depends on the brand. I would suspect the volume would increase because of the increase in flow but I don't think it would increase by a lot especially if you reuse the stock cats. I wish I could help you out more but I haven't heard the pro chamber and cherrybombs together before.

I had someone tell me that the prochamber would quite down my volume as it acts as a "third muffler". I certainly don't want that...

Stock cats contain the exhaust volume big time. HF do not. You will need to turn off the rear sensors with HF.

Ehhh, Crap. I'm < 1 year away from becoming a home owner and picking up a DD so the CS can stay in the garage. Because of that, I was hoping to find cheap exhaust mods that wouldn't require a tuner. I guess I should just wait a year because once I have that tuner, the cats are gone.
